In this video-essay we want to hear the voices of the boys and girls themselves; to ask them about their experiences and expectations. With this purpose we visited Espacio Abierto in the park of the Quinta de los Molinos. Inaugurated in 2018, Espacio Abierto is a municipal cultural center entirely dedicated to childhood and adolescence, with play and meeting areas and a program of activities for people from 0 to 18 years old.

about CCSC
This workshop takes place within the framework of the European Cultural Creative Spaces and Cities project. CCSC is a research and co-design project that involves seven European cities and some thirty cultural, artistic and academic organizations in the international arena. For two and a half years, the project connects citizen initiatives and cultural spaces with local political leaders through various participatory processes. The objective is to highlight those basic artistic and cultural initiatives that actively transform public spaces and cities, and from this practice propose a compendium of recommendations and proposals to be implemented in the EU.

Interactive approaches in culture spaces
We need complement visits to the cultural spaces offering emotional and intellectual enjoyment with different activities like interactive experience that children take part of. We also wish to develop activities that call educators to use the cultural equipment’s in an integrated way
